Thank you for choosing Hotel Cacaobetulia for a stay of rest, nature and connection with cacao. We are a farm hotel, not a city hotel: there is no 24-hour reception and the property is accessed through a locked gate. That is why we ask you to read and respect these conditions.

If you need to arrive earlier or leave later than these times, we will gladly check availability. Approval depends on occupancy and may carry an additional charge.
How long you may stay on the property:
If you would like to stay longer or extend your stay, we are happy to arrange it: we just need to agree on it with you beforehand.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner times may vary with the hotel's operation and will be shared at check-in.
Children and teenagers are the sole responsibility of their parents or the adults accompanying them, at all times and in all areas of the farm. The hotel does not provide childcare.
Minors must stay with their parents or legal guardians, or present the authorization required by Colombian law (Ley 679 of 2001).
Hotel Cacaobetulia was created as a place for rest and contact with nature. Out of respect for other guests:
All guests must present a valid ID (Colombian ID card or passport), which will be scanned and recorded on the official guest registration card. To speed up check-in, please send a photo of each guest's ID via WhatsApp before arrival.
Foreign guests must present a valid passport and meet the requirements of Migración Colombia.
Please keep your belongings in your own care. The hotel is not liable for loss, forgotten items or damage in rooms, parking areas or common areas unless the hotel is directly responsible. Valuables may be declared and handed to management for safekeeping.
Under Colombian law, smoking is prohibited inside rooms and indoor spaces. Breaking this rule will result in a deep-cleaning charge (see section 9). For smoking outdoors, see section 14. Hotel Cacaobetulia has a zero-tolerance policy on the use or possession of illegal drugs.
Management may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone who:
Staff may use a breathalyzer test to support this decision. If entry is refused or a guest is asked to leave for these reasons, the booking will be treated as a no-show or early departure, with no refund of amounts paid.
Guests agree to use rooms, furniture, equipment, gardens and all facilities properly. Any damage caused by misuse will be charged to the person responsible, at the cost of repair or replacement, and notified in writing before charging.
If a room or any area of the hotel is left in a state that requires deep cleaning (for example vomit, cigarette smoke, excessive dirt, stains on linens or mattresses, pet waste on beds or furniture), a deep-cleaning charge of COP 100,000 to 500,000, depending on severity, will apply, plus the replacement cost of anything that cannot be recovered.
Pets are welcome. They are the sole responsibility of their owner at all times.
Owners are liable for any damage their pet causes. If deep cleaning is needed, the charge in section 9 applies.
Agritourism activities are part of the hotel experience. During tours, visitors must:
Walks and outdoor activities are at the guest's own risk; we recommend suitable footwear.
Using these areas means accepting these rules. Damage caused by misuse is the guest's responsibility.
A 50% deposit of the total stay is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is paid at check-in, before the room is handed over. The booking is only confirmed once the deposit is received.
One (1) date change is allowed per booking. Unused nights are not refunded in case of early departure. In proven cases of force majeure, we offer a free date change or a voucher for the value of the deposit, valid for 12 months. For online purchases, the right of withdrawal (art. 47, Ley 1480 of 2011) applies within 5 business days of purchase, provided the service has not started.
All cancellation or change requests must be made in writing to info@hotelcacaobetulia.com or via WhatsApp at +57 321 862-1119. The date the message is received determines the applicable policy.
We promote responsible tourism. We invite our guests to use water and energy wisely, separate waste where possible, respect the farm's plants and wildlife, and enjoy nature without leaving a negative impact.
Smoking outdoors: if you would like to smoke, especially around the cabins, just let us know and we will gladly bring you an ashtray. If we find cigarette butts or other waste that can be identified as yours, the cleaning charge in section 9 will apply.
Information provided by guests, including the copy of their ID, will be handled in accordance with Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 of 2012) and used only for purposes related to providing the service and meeting legal obligations.
Booking and checking in at Hotel Cacaobetulia imply acceptance of these terms and conditions. Management reserves the right of admission and stay when these rules are broken or when necessary to protect the safety, peace and wellbeing of guests and staff.
The Spanish version of these terms prevails in case of any discrepancy.
