The same thinking runs through the farm. Biodynamic agriculture works with nature, in cycles that give back what they take: depth, rest and transformation. Before anything was built, a geomancy master harmonized the whole property, so the land itself holds the best possible energy for the work that happens here.
Cacaobetulia hosts a limited number of retreats each year. We close the hotel for each group: total privacy, no other guests. A temple inspired by Taoism, Demeter biodynamic cacao, a natural reserve, and real silence.
Its architecture is inspired by the cacao flower and the five elements of Taoism, and it opens onto a 360° view of the mountains.
Thirteen rooms in all, eight cabins beside the temple and five in the main house, a seven-minute walk apart through the farm.
We are one of only five Demeter cacao farms in the world, and the only one growing this variety, a genetically unusual criollo, and one of the finest-tasting cacaos there is.

Most often you bring your community and your vision, and we take care of everything else: the whole farm for your group, a chef with a tailored menu, sound equipment, on-site coordination, and we promote the retreat alongside you to help fill it. We can also organise the retreat ourselves and bring you in to teach it, and we are open to other arrangements if you have one in mind.
