Cacaobetulia was born from the meeting of two cultures: Swiss precision and care, and the warmth and strength of the Colombian land. From that crossing came a 106-hectare farm in the mountains of Maceo, Antioquia.
We didn't want a hotel placed on top of the land, but a hotel inside land that was already working. The cacao came first. The lodging came later, as a way to share the place with those who wanted to understand it.

To establish Hotel Cacaobetulia as an internationally recognized destination where people reconnect with nature, with themselves, and with the origin of cacao, working with one of the world's finest cacaos and integrating lodging, learning, and retreats in the Taoist temple.
In the middle of the farm stands a Taoist temple, uncommon in Colombia and rare across Latin America. It is a space for practice, silence, and ceremony, with warm acoustics and open mountain views.
The temple sets the aesthetic and energy of the place, yet it welcomes practices from many traditions: qi gong, meditation, breathwork, circles, sound, and cacao ceremonies.
